Nebraska Book Company (NBC) was a prominent textbook wholesaler and retailer that played a significant role in the educational publishing industry. Founded in 1915, NBC operated as a middleman, connecting publishers with bookstores and educational institutions, facilitating the distribution and availability of textbooks. Over the years, NBC expanded its operations and services, including developing digital management and POS platforms for textbook distribution, as well as interior space planning and design for retailers. NBC served as a vital link in the educational supply chain, providing students and educators with the resources they needed to support learning and academic success.

The purpose of this project was to create a new employee welcome gift that tied directly to our company values. This gift would act as our first impression and it was extremely important that it was curated to make any employee feel immediately valued. The items were provided in a tote that was printed with icons, representing all five values, as well as a personalized welcome note that introduced the new hire to the company.

PrismRBS is the technology division of Nebraska Book Holdings, Inc. They are dedicated to transforming the campus retail experience by providing world-class retail solutions and services. With customers all over North America, they have products and services that adhere to different regulations within each country. In doing that, they were able to develop our most updated cloud software for Canadian users, using a cloud server located In Canada. I created a targeted marketing campaign that spoke directly to Canadian customers about the need to upgrade their dated software. To get the word out, I created a promotional gift with a heavy focus on the idea of an upgraded experience.

Campus Store Design (formally College Store Design) is Nebraska Book Holdings’ award winning spacial design firm. Their services help retail environments achieve their true traffic and revenue potential. While their logo was extremely well known throughout the higher education industry, it was dated and did not accurately represent the team’s talent and professional abilities in areas outside of higher education retail. To evolve the brand to match its service capabilities, we also updated the brand name from College to Campus. which allowed CSD to fully communicate they were a partner for all types of retail environments.

It showcases university/college success stories, as well as highlights the innovative services and products found on their campuses. Each quarter, I designed an ad showcasing PrismRBS’ products and services. Our ads focused on one of our innovative campus-wide products or services and the important impact it would have.
